When you think of the honeymoon accommodations at a dude ranch what comes to mind? Bunk beds in tiny cabins? Moose heads on the walls? Dust and dirt everywhere?

If that’s your mental pictures you probably haven’t been at a real ranch anytime recently. Today’s dude ranches are no longer meant to accommodate just cowboys working the horse farm but instead are often designed for visitors in mind as well.

Sometimes dude ranches have private cabins where a couple can stay and usually these are nothing like rustic hunting lodges that you would expect; they have all the luxuries and facilities of a posh hotel and may even include huge fireplaces, hot tubs, and full bars. Their main lodge often has private rooms like a hotel and these too are usually just as luxurious as any hotel. They may not have private fireplaces and hot tubs but often the ranch itself has a big fireplace in the lobby for a cozy feeling. Very often the rooms are designed with verandas or porches that face beautiful scenery and often you see wildlife that may come right up to the room.

Yes, the honeymoon accommodations at dude ranches may be somewhat rustic in design but rarely are they just one step above camping as you might think. Their design is often meant to evoke a warm and inviting feeling but they rarely lack anything when it comes to facilities and amenities.
