Surely at least once, in your life or maybe even more than once you have heard the words I would like to propose a Toast. Did you ever think of where the concept of a Toast came from or why people do the act?

It is actually quite gruesome where the concept came from in ancient times in Greece people invited other people that they wanted disposed of or killed to come to their homes for a celebration and when they would drink the wine or beverage, it was usually poisoned.

Toasts have completely reversed through time since long ago in Greece. Now a toast means a joyous blessing or compliment to the other persons. Toasts happen daily now around the world someone somewhere in the world is celebration some kind of an event, like weddings, promotions, raises in pay, buying a new car, having a new home, a first child, birthdays, anniversaries, excreta.

Because people love to drink, celebrate, and be happy from the blessings given to them, it is easy for other people to share in the happiness. This is done by proposing a toast you raise your drink, say verbally a small or short blessing then tap other people’s glasses to finish the phrase then drink the drink. This form of a blessing or wishing someone well has occurred for many years at celebrations and many consider it tradition at some social or formal events. This form of blessing or wishing someone well is mostly directed toward their future so that it is prosperous.
