Looking for Something Unique for a Romantic honeymoon?
Who doesn’t love a romantic honeymoon with a lover? Any chance you get to turn off the television and ignore emails and text messages is a welcome respite from your everyday routine, but a romantic honeymoon means something even more – reconnecting as a couple and strengthening the bonds of your relationship.
Unique Romantic Honeymoon Ideas
Many think of a tropical island retreat when considering a romantic honeymoon, and of course these are wonderful places to relax as a couple. But what if you’re looking for something different and unique? What if you’ve been to all the beaches you ever care to see or just aren’t ones who enjoy the beach in the first place? Are you just out of luck when it comes to romantic getaways?
Far from it. There are many unique romantic honeymoon ideas and interesting spots you can choose from when it comes to finding romance, if you just keep an open mind and give them a chance.
One such option may be a dude ranch or working farm. You might not think of these as being very romantic but there is something very restful and calming about taking care of animals or working on the land. These places also don’t expect you to be actually laboring while you’re there but you typically get demonstrations of the work involved and you participate as much as is comfortable for you. These places also usually offer many activities that a couple would enjoy when it comes to being outside in nature, from horseback riding to hiking, biking, sightseeing, nature walks, picnics, hay rides, kayaking, canoeing, boating, and swimming. Accommodations at such places are also usually much nicer than you expect, many of which can rival the nicest hotel or bed & breakfast establishment. And of course the food cannot be fresher!
Amusement parks are other unique places where you might find some rest and romance. While we often equate Disney or Cedar Point with family vacations, these can be great fun when you try them without the kids. Many plan activities such as fireworks at night, which of course are very romantic. There are also typically shows you can see and stores where you can shop, and beaches nearby where you can stay for an entire day or more.
Many couples too also enjoy amusement parks but often think that they “should” have their romantic honeymoon at some tropical paradise or lakeside retreat. But if you and your significant other enjoy roller coasters and other rides, who’s to say that this can’t be romantic?
Think of what you would enjoy together as a couple and don’t feel obligated to go where every other couple is apparently going for romance, and you’ll find many opportunities for you!
